Here we are part way into June already. High school and college graduations have already happened or are happening now. Graduates are celebrating their achievements and looking to the future. It’s an exciting time! In thinking about what has been accomplished and planning new goals in life, people can be led to the creation of bucket lists, short or long.
I thought about my own bucket list and what it would be at this point in my life. Have you ever done that? A lot of people have at one point or another, but what about an anti-bucket list? That’s right . . . an anti-bucket list! If you are wondering what that is, it’s a list of all the things you personally wish to never accomplish in life! My anti-bucket list would probably look like this:
I never want to . . .
lose my faith
hold a snake
hold a spider
be buried alive
swim with sharks
jump out of an airplane or go skydiving
get a tattoo
bury my children
lose my sense of sight or hearing
go to prison
compete on the show Survivor or Naked and Afraid
be stuck anywhere at anytime with a multitude of insects!
Now what’s on YOUR anti-bucket list? Would it contain any of the items on mine? Lastly, can you guess the one thing I hope that is NOT on your anti-bucket list? Why reading blog posts, of course!
